This week, we’re once again joined by a guest! Marcos Cabral, of Runaway, On the Prowl, L.I.E.S., and The Trilogy Tapes fame, came in to lay down about 70 minutes worth of tuneage! Not only did we have the good fortune of being graced by his presence and bearing witness to his impeccable skill, but we got a special themed mix, too! He decided to play New Jersey and New York house records from circa ‘88 to ‘92. Strap in for a fun little journey through those years as illustrated by the NY native, and then stick around for a handful of cuts selected by LPH’s very own Nik Mercer!
LPH Radio has returned! Here’s Ep. X, which includes a couple LPH Records premieres: Benjamin Damage’s remix of a Luke Solomon track we’re releasing next month and the Revenge’s live dub version of COEO’s “Sunkist,” which appears on their forthcoming EP.
With the fourth installment of our edit series, we return not only to NYC, but LPH HQ itself. This one comes courtesy of our good friend, in-house DJ, and general consultant of all things LPH, Jesse Rudoy. He’s been sitting on it for a little while now, so if you’re familiar with him and/or his sets, there’s a good chance you’ve already heard the barn-burner. It’s so damn catchy and infectious and flat-out cheeky that we figured it was about time we share it with a wider audience!
If you’d like a WAV, just shoot an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll set you up! Enjoy!
A few weeks ago, this little company called Let’s Play House turned five. We threw a big party with URULU, COSMIC KIDS, JACQUES RENAULT, JUSTIN MILLER, MARCOS CABRAL, DREW HEFFRON, and JESSE RUDOY at Rough Trade NYC with support from doNYC and PBR. It was really, really, really fun and we couldn’t’ve asked for a better birthday. Anyway, here’s the first three hours of the night (read: sets from Heff & Rud, Reno & Miller Time).
